Many of the pencils that students are using no longer have erasers. Please check with your child to see if erasers are needed. A good idea is to purchase an eraser that can be kept in the pencil bag. This is especially needed for math class.

Football Friday Night!!
Students are so excited about the first home football game tonight. We enjoyed the pep rally where a few of our sixth grade cheerleaders led us in cheering for the Trojans.
Our week has flown by and your students have worked hard. Today we nominated several of our students to run for Student Council. The campaigning begins Monday and continues Tuesday early morning before school. They have a list of rules for the campaigning. They will give speeches during chapel next Wednesday and parents are of course welcome to attend. The race was close for all the nominees.
Just a heads up that September 4th is picture day and that will also be the day we induct our new Student Council officers.
Have a great weekend!

End of a Great First Week!
We have had a really great week! It is fun getting to know your children. We hope they are discussing their subjects with you and their schedule also. We will send one home at the first of next week. We are excited that they have so many opportunities this year to explore their interests -band, music, drama, reading,French just to name a few. Do not hesitate to call if you have any concerns about their classes.
We hope each of you have found your way to this blog. Remember, it is each students responsibility to to write their homework in their planner from the board each day, and this blog is a back-up for you. Somedays homework may not be up because of computer issues or unforseen teacher complications, so please help us in teaching your student their daily responsibility of writing assignments in their planner.
Have a great weekend and carry an umbrella!!!!!!!
