Monday News 1/28

Please check your child's signed paper folder today.  There is dated information in the folder concerning our trip to Driftwood in April.  Everyone who is going, including parents, must send in a check for $30 per person by Friday, February 4.  This is a nonrefundable deposit.  If you sold candles I have written the amount you still owe for the trip on an attached slip.  I need for you to send in the $30 deposit and deduct it from the amount showing on the slip.  The balance of the deposit will be due, April 8.

Penny War - A Great Success

I know your student will tell you the great news - but just in case they don't, be ready to be blown away.  Elementary students truly were "cheerful givers" and the total was $1,745.00.  Can you believe it?  I have personally never seen so many pennies in one place in my life!!  We are all so excited about giving this money to Our Own Home which is an orphanage in Jinga, Uganda, for orphans living with HIV and AIDS.  What a blessing to be able to do this for them. Thank you for cleaning out your cup holders and every piggy bank in your home. Our 6th grade beat the 5th grade and will each ice cream together very soon.

Friday night is elementary night at the Tattnall verses Westfield BB game.  Sure hope all of you will be in attendance.  We are bringing one item each for a girl and boy ball player tomorrow if possible to present a basket of yummies to them on Friday when they come to our class.  Gum, gatorade, water bottle, or candy would be awesome to bring.  Thanks for helping make this special for our team!

OPEN HOUSE!! PENNY WAR!! SLEEPY EYES!!

Open House is this Sunday for prospective families.  If you know someone who may be interested, please give them a call and invite them, or come with them.  You never know if someone may be considering a move unless you ask.

We hope you saw the e-mail about the Student Council Penny War beginning next Monday.  Break those banks and help the 6th grade win the pizza and movie party. 

This first full week back we are having many sleepy faces in the early class.  Please make sure your student is getting back into school mode and "hitting the hay" early enough to get a great night of sleep.

Welcome Back!

It was nice  to see the shining faces of the sixth graders today!  We are excited about what is ahead in 2013!  It is great to be a Tattnall Trojan!

Christmas Party!!!! Thank you parents for the awesome food!!!

We had loads of fun today at our party.  Thank you parents for helping make this a very special day!! Can't wait for Monday and our trip to see The Hobbit. 

Week of December 10 - 14

Wow, it's here, the last full week of school before Christmas.  Below is the schedule:

• Monday and Tuesday - "normal days" with regular dismissal                                      
• Tuesday - last day for AR testing
• Wednesday - Kids Yule Love Program 8:15 - 10:00; EACH CHILD IS ASKED TO BRING 1 NEW, UNWRAPPED TOY, Children will be able to leave at conclusion; dismissal other wise is 11:50; All parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend.  If you are new to TSA you don't want to miss this program, it's AWESOME!!!
• Thursday -  Dismissal 11:50
• Friday - Christmas Breakfast; Each child needs to bring a GIANT CANDY BAR; dismissal at end of party
